How Your Gift Helps
HopeHealth is a non-profit organization that relies on financial support from the community to fulfill our mission. Each year, we care for thousands of people who are coping with serious illness or loss. Your legacy gift will help us:
- Meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients nearing the end of life, while bringing comfort and support to family members.
- Offer pain relief and other palliative care services to help adults and children with serious illness live as long and as well as possible.
- Deliver hope and healing to adults and children grieving a loss.
- Help patients recovering at home from illness, injury or surgery by connecting them with nursing and physician care, therapy and other home care services.
- Ease the physical, emotional and mental stress of families caring for someone with Alzheimer's or a related dementia.
Legacy gifts also help us provide the following services:
- Grief Support - Each year, nearly 6,000 people in our community benefit from our free programs, including counseling, grief support groups, Camp BraveHeart, Weekend of Hope and Healing and remembrance events.
- Access to Care - HopeHealth’s mission and commitment to our community means we care for anyone who is eligible to receive services, regardless of their ability to pay.
- Veterans Programs - HopeHealth is a partner in the We Honor Veterans program and offers special support groups, veteran pinning ceremonies and trains veteran volunteers.
- Volunteer Training and Education - Volunteers are an integral part of the care team, supporting patients and families through companionship, help with errands and respite care, pet therapy, and sharing special skills like music, reiki or hand massage.
- Dementia and Alzheimer’s Services - HopeHealth takes a holistic approach to meeting the unique needs of dementia patients and their caregivers, including providing respite opportunities, support groups and connecting them to community resources.
- Palliative Care - Our team of 43 providers works throughout our community providing symptom management, advance care planning, emotional and spiritual support, and improved quality of life—so patients with serious illness can live as long and as well as possible.
- Pediatric Supportive Services - Pediatric supportive care offers comfort and relief of suffering for patients and families facing some of life’s most difficult moments, all provided by clinicians who understand the needs of children.
- Community and Clinical Education - Virtual and in-person courses expand and enrich the depth of knowledge on serious illness, dementia care, palliative care, hospice, home health and grief support for clinicians in our community and beyond.
In addition, bequests and other legacy gifts make it possible for us to serve anyone who is medically eligible to receive services, regardless of their ability to pay.
